Euroanaesthesia 2015 (The European Anaesthesiology Congress) took place in Berlin, Germany from 30 May to 2 June. This year, like last year, Quantium Medical took part actively in both the scientific and the exhibitor area. We are grateful for the great attention received.
In respect to the scientific program, an abstract of each one our main products were presented. Two abstracts, about the qNOX and the qCO, were presented by members of Quantium Medical and one about the qCON by Dr. Zanner, who presented the results of data replayed to the qCON to assess update time.. The first abstract, about the qNOX, was presented by our CSO and CEO, Erik Weber Jensen. The purpose of this study was to validate which of two qNOX versions was able to predict response to laryngoscopy and LMA insertion. The study was done with 140 patients at the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona. The conclusion was that both versions were able to predict the response to the LMA placement and, for prediction of response to laryngoscopy, only the new version was able to predict movement with post stimuli values. A vast number of delegates showed interest in the qCON 2000 because it offers the possibility to monitor the hypnotic effect and the balance nociception/anti-nociception from one unique sensor. The other abstract, presented by Jesus Escrivá, was his first abstract in a long way to earn his doctorate and the first abstract using the qCO during general anaesthesia. The study included 26 patients to show significant differences between the Cardiac Output in awake and anaesthetised patients. See the abstracts in the Clinical Results.
In parallel, Quantium Medical was sharing its stand with some of its distributors, Medec from Belgium, Kommed from Germany and Unimedics from South Korea. The stand presented a bright-colored design, where the qCO, qCON, qNOX and its devices were represented. During all congress the stand received a lot of visits of people around the world. The Quantium Medical team have transmitted all feedbacks and advices, we are grateful for all and we hope to see you soon.
Many thanks to all the attendants, we will continue working to offer you new parameters and products for patient monitoring.
